Christine Turman, 81, of Groves, Texas passed away Saturday, October 16, 2010. Christine was born February 3, 1929 in Newport, Mississippi to Ellie B. Farrell and Elvira Neaves Farrell. She was resident of Groves for 48 years and member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Nederland. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Marion Farrell, Sr. Survivors include her husband, Raymond Turman of Groves, TX; four daughters, Margaret Turman of Roanoke, TX, Jane Arebalos and husband, Robert of Groves, TX, Becky Doiron and husband, Eddie of Anacortes, WA, Liz Aguillard and husband, Cary of Lewisville, TX; sister, Carolyn Floyd of Sallis, MS; twelve grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 20, 2010 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves, Texas with Reverend Joe Roberts and Reverend Frank Hodges officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday evening from 5:00p.m.-7:00p.m. at the funeral home.
