Christy Lynn Young, 71, of Groves, passed away on Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at her residence. Christy was born on July 23, 1945 in Port Arthur.

Christy is survived by her sons, Kevin Young and wife, Michelle of Beaumont and Will Young and wife, Courtney of Groves; grandchild, Angel Roberts; brothers, Paul Paris and wife, Cheryl of Groves and Curtis Paris and wife, Lynette of New Braunfels; sister, Virginia Rush and husband, John of Buna; special aunt, Yvonne Smiley; special cousin, Sharon Waters and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Young and mother, Judith “Teen” Robinson.

There will be a gathering of family and friends on Monday, July 24, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland. The funeral service will be on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. also at the funeral home. The interment will be at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
