After graduating from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1955, Claire embraced the joys of family and motherhood shortly thereafter. She married and dedicated herself to raising her four children. Throughout these years, Claire was highly involved in her children's activities as a den mother, a softball coach, and a seamstress. Claire earned her degree in education from Lamar University in May of 1990, a testament to her lifelong dedication to both learning and teaching.
Claire's strong ties to her Cajun and French heritage were a source of enormous pride for her. She often looked forward to spring break and summer, when she could create lasting memories with her grandchildren. One of her most treasured trips was to Pensacola, Florida, where she visited her brother. Her family gatherings were filled with warmth, laughter, and love, and her influence will resonate through generations.
A devout member of her faith community, Claire was actively engaged in church activities at Saint Catherine Church in Port Arthur and Saint Elizabeth Church in Port Neches.
