I spent many enjoyable days at the Information Desk at St. Marys Hospital working with Clara. She was proud of her roots, and easily bragged about her family. She had some great stories to tell, and a few really good recipes to share. While sitting with her at the desk, I dont think there was ever a stranger that came in; she knew everyone. Although I left the area several years ago, we kept in touch. Ill miss my friend. I know many others will too, especially her family.

I have been Mrs Simon neighbor for almost 50 years.. When I was growing up they were the best neighbors in world, I remember going over to Mrs Simon and she would cut us watermelon and would have the cute little salt shakers.. I remember playing at their house making mud pies.. But the best memories is when they would come over and mom and dad and Mr and Mrs Simon would play dominoes they had so much fun ;) and I will never forget Mrs Simons fudge she made the best fudge ever.. I love you Mrs. Simon RIP

A friend from Pt. A. let me know about the Death of Clara. I was a chaplain at St. Mary Hospital -- left there 5 years ago -- Clara was such a faithful volunteer during most of my 21 years there. She had a very long life -- may she be with her Lord. Sr. Rosemary Hoppe, OP
