Clay "C.D." Reed

Clay "C.D." Reed, 72, of Groves, Texas passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2015. Clay was born October 3, 1942 in Corsicana, Texas to Clay Dudley Reed, Sr. and Mary Lura Shelton Reed. He was a resident of Groves for 65 years and also a member of First Baptist Church of Groves. He retired from Motiva as an operator after 42 years of service and was a U.S. Navy veteran. Survivors include his loving wife of 49 years, Peggy Reed of Groves, TX; two daughters, Wendy Jarrell and husband Ronny and Susan Briggs all of Groves, TX; sister, Jackie May of Groves, TX; grandchildren, Klacy Morein and husband Jared, Joshua Briggs and wife Kathy, Christin Briggs, Kline Jarrell; great-grandchildren, Bryce Briggs; step-great-grandchildren, Caden and Kaleigh. A visitation for family and friends will be Friday, February 20, 2015 from 4:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves. Funeral service will be at 9:00 a.m., Saturday, February 21, 20l5 at the First Baptist Church of Groves with Dr. Joe Worley and Reverend Charles Miller Officiating. Military graveside service will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
