Clayton Batson, 43, of Nederland, Texas, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2016 while surrounded by family and friends. A life-long resident of Nederland, Clayton graduated from Nederland High School in 1990, and loved his work as a pipe-fitter. With an outgoing personality and beautiful smile, he was among friends no matter where he was. He enjoyed spending time with family, and his heart belonged to his three beautiful daughters. Clayton is survived by his children Katelin Gassiott and husband Ricky Gassiott of Groves, Oliva Batson of Vidor, and Lauren Batson of Vidor; father Bubba Batson of Port Neches; mother Sherry Mullin and husband Joe Mullin of Woodville; sister Wendi Martin and husband Jimmy Martin of Port Arthur; brother Jody Batson of Port Neches; and brother Larry Batson and wife Monique of Port Neches; grandmother Marie Cooley of Port Neches; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. But he will be missed by many more. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday, March 7, 2016 at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches with Pastor Christopher Strother officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Sunday, March 6, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
