Clifford Benton Allen, 86, of Groves, went to be with The Lord on October 1, 2013. He was born October 10, 1926 in Zephyrhills, FL to Rolland A. and Dorothea Eagan Allen. He was an active member at First Baptist Church of Groves. He proudly served in the Navy in World War II and was a life member of VFW #4820. Clifford retired from Jefferson Chemical in 1986 where he was a Pipefitter, and in his younger years he enjoyed being a square dance caller and playing golf. Following his retirement, he and his wife Joy loved to travel and spend time in the mountains of Colorado. Clifford is preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 62 years Joy Allen, siblings George Allen, Rolland Allen, Jr., Frances Ludwig LeBlanc. He is survived by his two sons Robert Crumpler and wife Verna of Magnolia, Phillip Allen and wife Norresa of Port Neches, one sister Dorothy Allen Meents of Port Neches, seven grandchildren Randy Crumpler and wife Mary Alice of Grapevine, Lynn Bennett and husband Jackie of Magnolia, Karen Crumpler and husband John of Town Bluff, David Crumpler and wife Deborah of Houston, Susan Crumpler of Houston, Jason Allen and wife Katherine of Port Neches, and Jennifer Curtis and husband Brian of Silsbee, five great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held Thursday, October 3 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves. Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 4 at First Baptist Church in Groves. Interment will follow at 3:00 p.m. in Pedigo Cemetery at Town Bluff. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Pedigo Cemetery Fund, c/o Jack Pedigo, P.O.
