Clifford Allen Tomplait

Clifford Allen Tomplait, 75, of Port Neches, Texas passed away September 22, 2010 at his home. He was born April 12, 1935 in Port Arthur, Texas to the late Jack and Gladys Marie Fontenot Tomplait. Clifford retired from Port NechesGroves School District and from the pastorate of Central Gardens Baptist Church. He served his country proudly in the U. S. Army during the Korean conflict and was a Mason.He was the loving husband for 53 years of Reba Sue Barker Tomplait of Port Neches devoted father of Lance Tomplait and wife Tonya of Port Neches, Norma Reeves and husband Frank of Vidor, Becky Wyble and husband Robert of Beaumont, and Dawn Grimsley and husband Bruce of Mont Belvieu brother of Lily Ann Hargrave of Sugarland and cherished grandfather of 16 grandchildren and 9 greatgrandchildren.A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 25, 2010 at Heritage Funeral Home in Nederland at 6:00 p.m., Chaplain David Cross officiating.
