Clovis "C.J." James Peltier

Clovis James C. J. Peltier, 80, of Port Neches, Texas, passed away on December 31, 2011, at St. Mary Dubuis Hospital in Port Arthur, Texas. He was born on June 30, 1931, to the late Walter Peltier and Irma Segura Peltier in New Iberia, La. C. J. had been an area resident since 1948.He was a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Port Neches where he served as usher and he served his country in the U. S. Army.C. J. is survived by his wife, Shirley Jean Peltier of Port Neches daughter, Susan Peltier Ross of Port Neches son, Glenn Peltier and wife Betty of Lumberton brother, Preston Peltier of Bridge City. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 5 greatgrandchildren.C. J. was employed by DuPont, Beaumont and retired after 18 years in the Security and Safety Department. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 4, 2012, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Port Neches, with Msgr. Bennie Patillo celebrant. Interment to follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. A gathering of family and friends will be held at Melancon39s Funeral Home, 1605 Avenue H, in Nederland, on Tuesday, January 3, 2012, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with Christian Vigil at 6:00 p.m.Pall bearers will be Ryan Ross, Eric Peltier, Aaron Peltier, Emma Duncan, Corey Duncan and Jonathan Peltier

Uncle C.J., I always felt loved by you I will cherish memories of your smiling face joyful laughter. I miss you already. Rest in the peace of Gods loving arms. Aunt Shirley, you and Uncle C.J. have been terrific Christian role models for me all my life. I am very proud to be your nephew We will all miss Uncle C.J. very much, but his work is done here.
