He was born in Lake Arthur, Louisiana August 16, 1940 to the late Eddie Martin and Bertile Lejune Martin. He was an operator for the City of Nederland for 27 years, served his country proudly in the U. S. Army, and was a member of Seventh Street Baptist Church of Nederland.He was the loving husband of Ruth Redmon Martin of Nederland devoted father of Valerie Martin of Groves, and Kristie Martin Geisendorff of Nederland brother of P.J. Martin and wife, Barbara of Nederland, Horace Martin of Orange, and frac12 brother Robert Martin of Beaumont cherished grandfather of Kailey and Kelby Geisendorff and father to his adopted son, Gene Geisendorff and wife Hope and his son Seth Koppie, all of Nederland.He is preceded in death by his parents daughter Jill Marie Martin and sister Irene Craigen.A gathering of family and friends will be held at Heritage Funeral Home in Nederland Friday, September 10, 2010 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 11, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, Pastor Kevin quotKickerquot McWilliams officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. Arrangements are entrusted to Heritage Funeral Home, Johnny Huckaby funeral or.The family would like to say a special thanks to the staff of the cardiac unit of St. Mary39s Hospital for the wonderful care they gave C.A.In lieu of usual remembrances, memorials may be given to the Family Life Center of Seventh Street Baptist Church or American Heart Association.

Clyde, You were an AMAZING man. You were so kind to me and my son and welcomed us as part of your family. Never ONCE making us feel like outsiders. I wish I could have expressed to you what you meant to me You reminded me so much of my own daddy.
