Clyde E. Savoie, Sr., 91 of Port Arthur, Texas died Thursday, January 7, 2010. Clyde was born on January 24, 1918 in Port Arthur, Texas to Gaston Savoie and Inez Guidroz Savoie. He was a lifelong Port Arthur resident and member of Groves Abundant Life Sanctuary Church. He was the former owner of Savoie Wreaker Service and was a World War II U.S. Army veteran. Clyde was preceded in death by his first wife Pat Savoie, daughter Bonnie Savoie, and granddaughter Julene Spiller. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with Reverend David Myer officiating. Burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday evening from 5:00p.m.-8:00p.m. at the funeral home. Survivors include his wife, Toyalee Savoie of Port Arthur, TX; one daughter, Judy Hamilton and spouse, George of New London, TX; two sons, Clyde Savoie, Jr. and wife, Billie of Groves, TX, and Johnny Savoie and wife, Rita of Port Arthur, TX. Step-children; Shonette Pruett and husband Don, Medina Monk and husband Randy, Renee Skinner and Tracey Beckom, Cherie Perez and husband Rodney, Farron Eastburn and wife Jenny and Veda Clark. 19 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
