To know Conner was to love him. He had a contagious smile, the best sense of humor and a heart of gold. He was a friend to everyone who met him. Conner did it all: hunting, fishing, baseball, motorbiking, all-region choir and so much more. He was gentle, kind, and playful, but still a boy who couldn’t stay out of the mud. Conner loved the outdoors and had a connection to the Earth that led him to finding countless arrowheads and wanting to be a Game Warden. He could make you laugh until you cried and always looked after his little cousins and brothers. Conner was smart and talented, so talented he took out a giant Axis deer with his bow all on his own. He was so resourceful that he turned his little tike’s playhouse into a deer blind to wreak havoc on the neighborhood squirrels. He was an old soul who could sing every word to Hank Williams Jr., and he rocked the most legendary mullet anyone has ever seen. Conner was the most amazing young man and truly was a gift from God.

He is survived by his parents, Josh and Ashlea Curtice of Groves, TX; his brothers. Clay Curtice, Colby Curtice, and Carter Curtice; Grandparents, Craig and Gala Brown of Groves, TX; Roy and Judy Hernandez of Nederland, TX; Great-Grandparents, Donnie and Lulu Smith of Port Acres; Jack Brown of Port Acres, TX; Joann Curtice of Port Arthur, TX; and Mary Weatherford of Nederland, TX; Aunts, “Nonnie” Amber Curtice, “Gigi” Kristin Tamez, “Nanny Lu” Kassie Rachel, and Savannah Yarbrough; Uncle, Roy Hernandez III; as well as many more extended family members. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Clayton Curtice; Great-Grandparents, Charlene Brown, Charles Curtice, Polk Jr. and Donnie Hawthorne, and James Weatherford.
