It was always a pleasure to return to Groves with Karen Jo. Mrs Purkey always extended a loving hand. She also gave me insight to upcoming events, all of which was quite shocking. I loved her. dlj

WHAT CAN I SAY ABOUT A MOM THAT WAS GODLY AND SO LOVING? WE WILL MISS YOU SO MUCH, BUT I HAVE KNOWN FOR A LONG TIME THAT YOU WANTED TO GO HOME. YOU AREN'T AN "IMMIGRANT" ANY LONGER, MOTHER. WHEN I THINK OF YOU NOW, I PICTURE YOU ON YOUR FACE BOWED BEFORE JESUS AND PRAISING HIM.

I remember Mrs Purkey and her husband; Wade very well as I lived a few houses from them in Groves. They were very nice people. I went to school with their oldest daughter; Karen Jo. It is so sad when friends go. I'll be thinking of the rest of the family and they will be in my prayers
