Many know you as Helene, but to me, you always be known as “Nenie.” As unique as your name is, you were just as unique in person and spirit. I will always keep close the memories I have with you. One in particular is from when I was a little boy and you I asked you to make me a cape so I could live out my summer days make-believing I was a super hero. You always kindly obliged by taking a safety pin and fastening two ends of a beach towel together to create a makeshift cape. You allowed me to feel like a hero in youth and throughout life. I want to thank you, Nenie. Love you!

Mother you were a kind, considerate and genuine human being, but most of all you were a wonderful mother. I will miss our fun Sunday lunches, the happy hours, our trips, but most of all I will miss my best friend. You have a stairway to heaven to go see Dad now, he has been waiting a long time and you can give him a big hug from all of us. I love you very much. Paula
