Cortney Aldridge, born on March 23, 1981, in Nederland, Texas, passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2024. She was a cherished member of Nederland First Baptist Church, where her passion for helping others shined brightly. Cortney's involvement in various church activities such as helping with flower arrangements, media assistance, and her involvement with Hearts and Hands showcased her unwavering faith, dedication and kindness.
Described as having a caring heart, Cortney's nurturing spirit touched the lives of many. She found joy in caring for those around her and always went above and beyond to lend a helping hand. Her vibrant personality and selfless nature endeared her to all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Outside of her community involvement, Cortney had a creative side that brought light to those around her. Her hobbies included crafting t-shirts and door wreaths with precision, baking delicious treats, and decorating for special holiday occasions. These talents reflected her attention to detail and her love for bringing happiness to others through her creations.
In the hearts of Cortney Aldridge's surviving loved ones remains a void that can never be filled. Cortney is survived by her loving mother, Judy Hardin of Nederland, Texas; step-father, Buddy Hardin of Nederland, Texas; brother, Corey Aldridge of Nederland, Texas; as well as "Pebbles", her loyal dog and best friend who brought immense joy into her life. Additionally, she leaves behind other extended family members who will forever cherish their memories with her. Cortney is preceded in death by her father, James R. Aldridge.
Cortney Aldridge's legacy of compassion, generosity, and creativity will continue to inspire all who knew her. Her presence will be deeply missed but the impact she made during her time on earth will never be forgotten. May she rest in peace knowing that she brought light and love to everyone she encountered.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday, July 13, 2024 at Nederland First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall from 1:00pm - 2:00pm with a Celebration of Life Service to begin at 2:00pm.
