Cory Jay Williams

Cory Jay Williams, 30, of Groves, Texas, passed away on Saturday, February 18, 2023, in Port Arthur, Texas.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 4, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves.

Officiating will be Reverend Rick Shreve.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, March 3, 2023, at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves.

Cory was born in Port Arthur, Texas, on November 30, 1992. He graduated from Port Neches Groves High School and worked as a laborer for McAlister’s Deli. When he wasn’t working at his job he was either hanging out with his friends, working out at the gym, or playing video games. He really loved being around his family though. He was a big fan of MMA, and he had a great love for his dog BB and his cat Biscuits. He will be missed dearly!

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Johnny Williams, and Clayton Tuttle; his great-grandfathers, J.G. Williams, and Robert E. Leavins; and great-grandmother, Mary Alice Leavins.

He is survived by his father, Robert Jason Williams and wife Stephanie of Groves, TX; grandmothers, Susan Hebert of Groves, TX; and Terry Tuttle of Ohio; step-grandmother Bernie Williams of Nederland, TX; and great-grandmother, Hazel Williams of Groves, TX; sisters, Shelby and Brittany; brother, Gavin; aunts, Kristie Romero and husband Eddie; and Diana Greenbank; uncles, Aaron Williams and wife Laurie; Evan Williams, and Jason Sikes; as well as numerous cousins.
