I'll never forget the way he said "Hey JoJo!" when I saw him. I too was fortunate enough to play on several of Mr. Tahaney's softball teams, but he was more than just a coach. He was a great friend to not just me and my family, but to so many others. I will always remember his big smile and hold our shared memories close to my heart. Hook'em from Heaven. Love, Josie Kremzar

It has been years since I saw Craig, but he was very much one of my favorite cousins when we visited Port Arthur. He always made me laugh.

Ashlin and I have been best friends since elementary school, and I've spent so much time with the Tahaney family, that I consider myself an honorary member. Everyone would always call Mr. Tahaney "Big Craig," and I always attributed that to him being "senior" and CJ being "junior." What I have come to realize now, is that the "big" part of "Big Craig" means so much more than that. It describes his "big" personality - his smile could literally light up a room, and he had such an infectious laugh that you couldn't help but laugh with him. I will forever be able to picture his big smile and him throwing his head back and letting out a big, loud laugh. It describes his "big" passion - he was so devoted to his family and those friends that became family. He was always so proud of CJ's accomplishments, even when he would comment that CJ was so smart that what he said/did was above his head. He loved coaching Ashlin's softball teams. I'm so thankful I was able to be a part of that in middle and high school - you could literally feel his joy when we did well. He had a "big" heart - he welcomed everyone with love and acceptance. The infamous Tahaney crawfish boils kept getting bigger and bigger every year with the the new friends and family that were collected along the way, and he always welcomed everyone with open arms. He was genuinely excited to be around all of our friends, and he was always so proud of having plenty of room and food for everyone. Now, all that knew and loved him, are going to have a "big" hole in our hearts. There are no words to describe how much he will be missed. What I'm going to hold on to are all the "big" memories I was lucky enough to make with him and the Tahaney family throughout my life. I love all of you so "big." Layne, Dave & Leo

I'm so sorry to hear of Craig's passing. We shared memories many years ago on the soccer field when our sons played on the same team. I remember his kind and fun-loving spirit even from back then. Praying for Rhonda and the family.

You were bigger then life Craig! Your kindness had no boundaries. The love and devotion you showed to your family was an inspiration to all fathers. Sadly, you were taken from us too soon. GOD had other plans and called you home. Now we must take comfort in knowing your an Angel watching over us all. Rhonda, cousin... you, CJ, Ashlin, and Craig's family are in our thoughts and prayers as you go through this very difficult time of loss. We love you-guys very... very much and we pray for peace and comfort. 🙏♥️🙏
