Cruz Elena Agudelo, 76, of Groves, Texas passed away on July 21, 2019. She was born in Medellin, Colombia on May 3, 1943 to the late Eugenio Agudelo and Socorro Gaviria.

Those left to cherish Cruz’s memory are her daughter, Cristina Gomez of Venezuela; her sons, Jiovanny Gomez of Groves, Texas, Victor Mancera of Beaumont, Texas, and Randy Mancera of Colombia; eleven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; her sisters, Angela Montoya of Port Arthur, Texas, Eugenia Fares of Dallas, Texas, Altagracia Agudelo of Venezuela, and Fatima Agudelo of Colombia; and her brother, Guillermo Agudelo of Colombia. She will be missed and loved by all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her parents; her brothers Mario Agudelo, Hugo Agudelo, and Elkin Agudelo; and her sisters, Ligia Agudelo, Marta Agudelo, and Isabel Agudelo.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland with funeral services following at 6:00 p.m.
