Curtis E. Moerbe, 91, of Port Arthur passed away Monday, October 15, 2012 at Dubuis St. Mary Hospital in Port Arthur, Texas. He was born August 26, 1921 in Port Arthur to Alvin and Bertha Goebel Moerbe. Curtis volunteered for military service during WWII. He joined the Army and was in the military police. Barge Company, on the board of directors of M Bank, and a partner in Vessel Repair Shipyard. He invested in local commercial real estate and enjoyed growing a business. Curtis was very proud of his family and always encouraged education and hard work. He led by example and would offer advise sparingly, but with plenty of wisdom. He was a life long member of Trinity Lutheran Church, an elder, and very involved in building maintenance and new projects.
