Curtis G. Whitman

Curtis G. Whitman, 91, of Port Neches, Texas died Tuesday, December 30, 2014 in Beaumont, Texas. Curtis was born July 20, 1923 in Bancroft, Louisiana to Joseph Whitman and Susie McBride Whitman. He was a resident of Port Neches for 68 years and retired from Unocal as an Operator with 35 years of service. Curtis was a member of First Baptist Church in Port Neches and a WWII US Army Veteran. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 2, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches with Reverend Benny Thomas officiating. Entombment will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park. Visitation for family and friends will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Thursday, January 1, 2015 at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anne Whitman. Surviving relatives include his son, Quentin Whitman of Beaumont, Texas; sister-in-law, Dene Guillott of DeQuincy, Louisiana; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
