Cyrus Dumesnil, 89, of Edna, Texas formerly of Port Neches, Texas died Monday, June 28, 2010 at Southbrooke Manor in Edna, Texas. Cyrus was born August 31, 1920 in Franklin, Louisiana to Felix Dumesnil and Mary Naquin Dumesnil. He was a resident of this area for 46 years having moved to Edna, Texas 4 years ago. He retired from Gulf Oil as a Truck Driver with 40 plus years of service and was also a US Army WWII Veteran. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 2, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches with Rev. David Logan officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of service Friday, July 2, 2010 at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his wife, Odell Dumesnil, sister, Mary Prince, daughter, Lucy Pruett, and grandson, James Pruett, Jr. Survivors include his sister, Joyce Domas of Orange; brother, C.J. Dumesnil of Bridge City; grandchildren, Ronny Pruett and wife, Shelley, Connie Hoelscher and husband, Cyril; granddaughter-in-law, Jennifer Pruett; 6 great grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren.
