D. Gayle Swearingen

D. Gayle Swearingen D. Gayle Swearingen, 75, of Nederland passed away Friday, April 7, 2017 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont, Texas. She was born on November 14, 1941 in Port Arthur, Texas to D.N. Lyons and Edna Wright Lyons. Gayle was a 1960 graduate of Port Neches Groves High School and attended Lamar University. She was retired as a Medical Office Manager. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 10, 2017 at Levingston Funeral Home with Dr. Joe Worley of First Baptist Church in Groves officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery. A visitation for family and friends will be Monday beginning at 12:00 noon until service time at the funeral home. Gayle was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, W.G. Swearingen and brother, D.P. Lyons. She is survived by her sister in law, Gayle Wheeler Lyons of Port Arthur, niece, Lori Hemler and husband Robert, nephew, Rocky Lyons and wife Jana and numerous nieces and nephews.
