Dale Ray McCauley Dale Ray McCauley, 91 of Groves passed away Friday, December 22, 2017 at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas. He was born on April 6, 1926 in Shelby County, Texas to James Noah McCauley and Ida Doris Borders McCauley. Dale was a United States Army veteran serving his country during the Korean Conflict. He had lived in Groves for 63 years and was a member of Providence Church. Dale retired from Gulf Oil Corporation as a power plant engineer after 33 years of service. A visitation for family and friends will be Tuesday evening, December 26, 2017 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at Short Cemetery in Center, Texas. Dale was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy McCauley and three sisters, Edith Matthews, Mary Wood and Iris Jones. He is survived by two daughters, Sandra Theriot and husband Jeff of Nederland, and Donna McCauley of Nederland, son, Norman McCauley and wife Lori of Center, Texas, nine grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
