Dear McCord family and friends,It is with saddened heart that I write this. While I knew this day of DRs passing would come, my heart sank as I heard the news. However, I was ly reminded of the thought of DR being on the other side being free from the pains and trials of this life and enjoying long awaited greetings from those who have gone on before. This brought a smile to my face as I imagined a few quotBoom Dadquot or quotSemper Fiquot statements being shared. I also imagined DR saying that he was quothappier than a possum in a tater patchquot.DR was a great man and an even greater missionary. I remember one day being with him out among the people and him giving out Book of Mormons. Im pretty sure we gave out a whole box that day. He loved the young people and did such an awesome job working with them. This earth is lacking one wonderful person it had before DRs passing. I learned soooooo much from DR in the short 6 months I was in Winnie as a missionary. Thanks, MarineTo the family, I have a copy of a life history that DR wrote while I was there if you are interested in getting a copy. Im going to try and contact someone in the wardstake to see if they can help get you a copy, if you want it. However, if you see this and want a copy, please email me the way to get it to you I have a PDF of it.With deepest sympathy and love,Ryan Nelsonaka Elder Nelson Elder Nel

DR, I just want you and your family to know that I am very grateful to have met you, You thought me many valuable lessons which I still remember and keep close to my heart. I worked with you for about a year and four months.DR, trust me that since Nov. 1993, until today, I have NOT me anyone like you, so dedicated in letting people know about the church, The Savior and his teachings. You offer service each day to everyone that needed it, regardless where, to whom, you just gave of yourself. I am sure that your fellow military Friends, can say the same. Well, My Friend, I love you, for all that you have done for me. I know, you must be very happy to be on the other side of the veil with Friends and family greeting you. When my time comes, I too shall see you again one day , Friend. Take good care.God Speed Semper Fi, My friend until we meet again. Love Martin Rodoriguezaka Elder Rodriguez Elder Rod
