Daniel G. Miguez, Sr., 90, of Port Acres passed away Saturday, February 17, 2018 in Beaumont, Texas. He was born on November 24, 1927 in Port Arthur, Texas to William Louis Miguez and Mary Trahan Miguez. Daniel served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired as a Ship Fitter from Gulfport Shipyard after 20 years of service and also retired from his Maytag repair business after 50 years of ownership.. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, February 23, 2018 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with a military graveside service to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. A visitation for family and friends will be Thursday evening from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Daniel was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Annie Lee Miguez. He is survived by two sons, Daniel Miguez, Jr. and wife Lana of Orange, TX and George S. Miguez of Port Acres, TX, four daughters, Varina Miguez and Bryant Nelson of Somerville, TX, Danette Miguez-Caro and husband Mario of Friendswood, TX, Glenda Mirabella of Groves, TX, and Vera Parretti and husband Mark of Linden, VA, ten grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
