Daniella Y. Hildabridle

Daniella Y. Hildabridle (Dani,) 100, formerly of Port Acres, TX, died Monday, September 10, 2012, in Beaumont, TX. She was born October 15, 1911, to John and Pauline Yartz, in Kemmerer, Wyoming; grew up in Fostoria, TX, and moved to Port Acres, TX in the early 30's, where she lived until 2005. Dani was a member of the Home Demonstration Club, PTA/Life Member, and the Port Acres Flower Club. She loved sewing, growing flowers, gardening, and mowing her yard, which she did until she was 88. Dani was very proud of her Slovene heritage, visiting her cousins in Slovenia several times. Slovene was her first language, which she continued to speak fluently her entire life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack; sisters, Pauline, Bertha, and Jean; grandson, Glenn Hildabridle; and her best friends, Blanche Hagen and Noely Johnson. She is survived by her son, Jerry Hildabridle (Linda) of Burnet, TX; daughters, Lana Hildabridle of Beaumont, TX; and Arlene Hanlon (Roger) of Falmouth, MA; brother, John Yartz of Anchorage, KY; grandchildren, Courtney Hildabridle of Austin, TX; Erin Hanlon (fiance, Steve Martin) of Boston, MA; Grayson Hanlon of Falmouth, MA; great granddaughter, Tiffany Garetson; great-great granddaughter, Kurri Garetson, both of Magnolia, TX; many nieces and nephews, longtime family friend Bobbie Morgan and special friends, Sheila and Penne. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her name to the Humane Society of Southeast Texas, P.O. BOX 1629, Beaumont, TX 77704; St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O. BOX 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN, 38148, or a charity of your choice.

Our sincere condolences to all the family. We so loved Mrs. Hildabridle's sense of humor and love of life. She was interested in everything. I have wonderful memories of the early 60's, spending time in the Hildabridle home with Lana. Mrs.Hildabridle was so gracious. I was very fond of her baking. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

It immediately brought tears to my eyes when I read about your passing. You were a part of our life for so many years. From Wendy and Chris going over to play with the dolls in the attic, to Wayne playing chess with a fly. member ( even though either one could understand the others language). And all the times you and I sat and discussed world and local events and how to solve them. You were truly a great lady.
