Danny William Emmert, has peacefully passed away on July 11, 2024, at the age of 67. Born on June 22, 1957, in Amarillo, Texas, he embraced life with a fervor that touched the hearts of many.

Throughout his life, Danny made a lasting impact in every role he undertook. He was a man of strong faith and taught his kids to follow Christ. After graduating from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1976 and later earning a degree in Forestry, his educational achievements laid the foundation for a successful career that spanned nearly four decades. He was a dedicated operator for Fina (later known as Total) for 38 years.

Not only was Danny known for his professional accomplishments, but he was also admired for his adventurous spirit. Danny was proud of his accomplishment as an Eagle Scout and taught his kids and grandkids the importance of the environment and conservation. He was also very proud of his heritage and became a member of the Sons of Texas. His passion for hunting, particularly deer hunting, fishing escapades, camping adventures, and simply basking in nature's beauty alongside his loved ones defined him as an avid outdoorsman.

In his early years, Danny enjoyed surfing, scuba diving, and metal detecting, an interest he shared with his new found siblings. A connoisseur of exploration, Danny acquired an RV to traverse new horizons. He found solace by traveling to serene beaches and lakes where he made lifelong memories with his cherished and beloved wife, Kay. Danny also took pride in interests closer to home such as gardening. These experiences enriched his life and created treasured memories that will forever be ingrained in the hearts of those who knew him.

Beyond his pursuits and endeavors, Danny's genuine nature shone brightly through his relationships. He had an unwavering commitment to family and adored spending time with his grandchildren. His two beloved dogs, Bailey and Louie, held special places in his heart and brought joy to his everyday life.

His legacy extends beyond this distinguished achievement to the lives he touched profoundly throughout the years.

Sadly, departed before him are his parents George and Vivian Emmert, grandson Baby George Dean Barber, brother-in-law Keith Breaux, and first wife Cindy Emmert.

Those left to remember him are Danny’s dearest wife of 33 years Kay Emmert, Daughter Karen and Justin Gorham, Son, Michael and Amber Emmert, Daughter, JoAnn Emmert, Sons, Russell Emmert, Mason Emmert, and his grandchildren, Taylor Malone, Crystal Malone, Bailey Gorham, Paisley Gorham, Kendall Gorham, Jasmine Emmert, Seth Emmert, Scott Emmert, Joey Harrison, Jr. and wife, Ellie, Marissa Barber, Russell “Russy” Emmert, Jr., Laithen Emmert, and his great-grandchildren, Marceline Harrison, Joseph "Jo Jo" Harrison, III an sister, Nancy Rose and husband, Robert; and numerous family and friends.

The celebration of Danny William Emmert's life will be honored through visitation services on July 22, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM at Melancon Levingston Funeral Home at 1605 Avenue H in Nederland, Texas. A burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park.

In the tapestry of life woven by Danny William Emmert's legacy lies a remarkable tale of adventure, love, dedication to family, and a profound appreciation for nature—a story that will live on eternally in the hearts of those who were privileged enough to know him.
