Darrell Cowan

Darrell Cowan, 82, of Port Neches passed away on May 13, 2011, at 1:40 a.m. at his home in Port Neches. Darrell was born on August 30, 1928, in Moline, Illinois to Dorothy and Frederick W. Cowan. He was a husband, father and grandfather. Darrell's career was with Texaco, where he retired after 38 years of service as a brick mason and supervisor. His hobby and love of his life was working with his cattle and other farm animals in Orange County. Survivors are his wife of many years, Betty Cowan of Port Neches; daughters, Brenda Farris and husband Glenn of Port Neches; Terri Cormier and husband Kim of Port Neches; grandchildren Stephani Gilmore and husband Mike; Zachary Farris, and Natalie and Anna Cormier. The body has been donated to Science Research, but there will be a Memorial Service at Levingston Funeral Home, 2001 Nall, Port Neches, on Monday, May 16, 2011 at 4:00 p.m. The celebrant for the memorial service will be the Rev. Frank G. Williams, former pastor of Magnolia Assembly of God Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Odyssey Hospice or to the charity of your choice in memory of Darrell.
