I had the opportunity to know Darrell for a good portion of my life. We were in the 5th grade together at Hillcrest Elementary. Neither of us could've imagined that we would spend most of our working careers together at the City of Nederland. He would keep us entertained with his hunting and fishing adventure stories. He could always be counted on especially when things were the toughest at work. He would help anyone anytime. I will always remember him in his green rubber boots with a Lucky Strike hanging from his mouth. Rest in Peace Darrell
