Darrell L. Miller, 73, of Groves passed away Sunday, August 7, 2016 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont. He was born on April 13, 1943 in Abbeville, Louisiana to Humer Louis Miller and Mary Beatrice Landry Miller. Darrell had lived in this area for 32 years and was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. He was employed as an electrician with Texaco and retired in 1997 after 23 years of service. Darrell served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at St. Peter Catholic Church in Groves with Reverend J. C. Coon officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. A visitation for family and friends will be Tuesday evening at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a rosary service to begin at 6:00 p.m. Darrell was preceded in death by his brother, Charles "Glenn" Miller. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Marie Miller of Groves, daughter, Amanda Miller and fiance' Shawn Nolan of Groves, son, Eric Miller and wife Brandy of Groves, step sisters, Joanna Cormier and husband Arnold of Louisiana and Annette Broussard and husband Willien of Louisiana, seven grandchildren, Cassie, Dalton, Ashlee, Tessah, Jada, Jaycee, Aaron, two great grandchildren, Matthew, and Steven Eric and his "buddy" Kyle.
