Darren Goodwin

Darren Goodwin, 57, of Groves, passed away Thursday, August 25, 2016. Darren was born June 27, 1959 in Nederland to Billy and Barbara Seaux Goodwin. He was a graduate of Port Neches-Groves High School, class of 1977. He loved fishing but most important to him and his greatest joy are his kids and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Keely Goodwin of Groves; parents, Billy and Barbara Goodwin of Port Neches; son, Cory Goodwin and wife, Renee of Port Neches; daughters, April Gonzales and husband, David of Groves, and Kacee Goodwin of Groves; sister, Ronda Guillot and husband, Buddy of Groves, (step)-children, Victoria Miller and husband, Brandon of Port Acres, Valerie Blount and husband, John of Orange and Michael Gaspard of Port Acres, 12 grandchildren and a host of loving nieces, nephews, family and friends. Darren is preceded in death by his grandparents and sister, Karen Goodwin.
There will be a gathering of family and friends on Sunday, August 28, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland. A service celebrating Darren’s life will follow at 3:00 p.m.
