Daryl Wayne Peveto, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and talented craftsman, departed this life on October 17, 2024, in Beaumont, Texas, at the age of 76. Born on May 6, 1948, in Port Arthur, Texas, Daryl lived a full life, leaving behind a legacy marked by creativity, passion, and an unwavering love for his family.

Daryl was a custom painter and interior designer by trade, renowned for his artistic skills and eye for detail. His proudest accomplishments included not only being recognized as #1 in the nation for car shows but also the restoration of hot rods and vintage automobiles and custom-painted motorcycles, which he meticulously painted to perfection.  Two of these cars were "The Godfather" from Houston, Texas and "Wild Fire" a Mustang from Baton Rouge Louisiana. Daryl's talents extended beyond his profession; he was a respected judge for car shows nationwide and a former member of the Cowboy Harley-Davidson Motorcycle Club. He found joy in traveling on his motorcycle and had a deep appreciation for hot rods, pursuits that brought him much happiness throughout his life.

His personality shone brightly, characterized by his adventurous spirit and love for life. These passions reflected not only his interests but also the zest he had for life's unforgettable experiences.

Daryl leaves behind a devoted family who cherished him deeply. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Norma Peveto of Bridge City; his sons, Daryl Wayne Peveto II of Pennsylvania, Deric Peveto of Nacogdoches,  and Scott Anderson of Bridge City; as well as his grandson Jason Anderson and seven great-grandchildren.  He is also survived by his sister, Sandy Sue Steele and her husband Robert of Houston and sister-in-law, Gloria Bellard and her husband Will.

Daryl was predeceased by his parents, Asa Charles and Myrtle Dugas Peveto, his daughter Rhonda Lee Anderson, and three sisters and one brother. Their memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved him.

A visitation will be held on October 26, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City, Texas.   An internment will follow the service at St. Mary Cemetery in Orange. This gathering will celebrate Daryl Wayne Peveto’s life, honoring the remarkable man who touched the lives of so many with his talents, kindness, and unwavering spirit. 

Serving as pallbearers will be David Holter, Frank Hall, Jason Anderson, Javon Anderson, Mark Blanton, and  David Soileaux. The honorary pallbearers will be special great-granddaughter Jasmine (Boo Boo) Anderson, Jude Anderson, Jaxton Anderson, Daryl Freeman, Dr. Coffy Pieternelle, Jed Weems, David Hanson, Tim Chauvin, along with his breakfast and lunch friends at Leslie's Restaurant.
