Datha Palmer Lee, 70, of Katy, Texas formerly of Groves passed away Saturday, June 19, 2010 at Christus Hospital St. Mary. Datha was born June 18, 1940 in Port Arthur, Texas to William Walker Palmer and Clotilde Messer Palmer. She was a lifelong area resident until moving to Katy, Texas in 2005. She was a retired stenographer from Gulf Oil Refinery and was a member of Magnolia Assembly of God Church in Port Neches. Survivors include her daughter, Rachel Parrish and husband, Patrick of Austin, Texas; sister, Clo Ann Hampton of Windermere, Florida; brother, William Walker Palmer, Jr. and wife, Barbara Ann of Katy, Texas; three grandchildren, Britney Zimbeck, Lindsey Parrish, and Jayden Parrish. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with Reverend Kevin Valentine, Reverend Scott Jones, Reverend Frank Williams and Mr. Keith Valentine officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday evening from 5:00p.m.-7:00p.m. at the funeral home.
