David Bares I can't believe you're gone. You were the sweetest first boyfriend when we were in elementary school. Mom still remembers you walking me home every day and pushing me on the swing set. Lookout for my boy JT. Love love

What a beautiful, well-chosen picture. When thinking of Davy Bares, three words, "cheerful, friend and talent" come to mind. He had an infectious, unique laugh that got everyone laughing. He was sweet, funny and affectionate. He was a lifelong friend of Charlie's and though I didn't meet him until the early '90s, he was a fixture at our social gatherings many times and couldn't help being the life of the party. David's talent was undeniable. He came from an artistically talented family and set himself apart with his billboard designs for the Heritage Festival. We couldn't help being proud we knew him when we passed one of those signs. He and his brothers loved specialized Harley designs and Charlie and I admired their craft. Despite personal heartbreaks & health issues, Davy was never one to complain--he always said, I'm better or I'm fine. He and Charlie had a recent talk around the time of the hurricane evacuation & Charlie was so glad they did. Davy loved life and had faith as well as a truly cheerful spirit that was impossible not to love. Charlie and I will always miss him and remember his contribution to community and his abiding friendship with great fondness.Much love and heartfelt sympathy to his sister, brothers & many loved ones,Charlie and Susie Streetman
