I worked with David over 15 years and I can say, there was never a dull moment when he was at work . He was always right there when an emergency came in and aways ready to lend a helping hand with whatever you asked of him . I remember David bringing cakes, cookies , candy and all different kinds of snacks for everyone , and he would say “ hey, no thank you’s needed I just wanted to see smiles for the night “ That’s what David was all about ! Kind, helpful, smart and full of life . Breathe easy my friend , I will miss seeing all your FB posts telling us how proud you are of all those grandbabies ! It was a pleasure knowing you

Dave was a great neighbor and friend. On occasion he and I would go ride motorcycles together a few years back. The day after hurricane Ike, Dave and I was one of the only people here in our neighborhood. We immediately start cleaning up each other’s yards and then started on the neighbors around us. Sometimes I would come home on occasion and Dave would have mowed my yard after he did his own. I think he really enjoyed being outside working. He would even pull my trash can out on garbage day when he came home early from his night shift at the hospital. Such a good man who always put others before himself. It really hurt to see him down and sick, But he suffers no more for he is with the Lord. I will miss him. Roy Bares

Too many years and too many miles kept me from knowing my cousin well. I can see from all the tributes on Facebook that he was extremely well thought of in his job and that he did it well. I knew he would have. Uncle Al and Aunt Anna would have taught him that. Not knowing someone you are related to is a pity. I think he and I would have had grand visits. My deepest sympathy to his wife and family. Godspeed cousin.

David, my cousin, was always very energetic when he was small. There was Steven, Debbie, Nanette and David—all my cousins. I remember as a young girl spending time at their home. Aunt Nna—David Mom was one great cook. I remember we were keeping a David at our home and he had a asthma attack. I ran across the street to get our neighborhood nurse. Soon enough he settled down and Mother requested he stay calm the remaining day. David was a cousin who always had plans to do or go somewhere. Rest In Peace sweet cousin, When God calls our love one’s home He leaves us great lasting memories. Birdie Selk aka Snookie Deer Park, Texas
