Dave was truly a giving and kind man and musician. My husband and I had the honor of meeting him and getting to work with him last year when he and his band sang for my husbands benefit. He had the biggest heart ever. His music was beyond explanation. He will be truly missed but Heaven has truly gained a muscian and an angel. Praying for his family. Boo I have known Dave for what seems like forever. My first thought was the song quotSilver Wingsquot and I could here him singing it as he rode them to heavens choir. The many smiles he put on our faces, the hours we spent dancing to his music, and the pure pleasure of his mighty voice will be greatly missed. Most of all we will miss our dear friend. God bless you Dave Shaw.

Not only did Dave entertain like no other for years, he literally helped to develop the music scene in the entire SE Texas area. The musicians who had the chance to work with him will never forget him. He demanded musical excellence and helped everyone he worked with to reach for all they could when performing. I had the privilege of standing side by side with him for many years as his female vocalist. He called me quotLittle Girl.quot I was only 19. Last May, we reunited and sang together once again...30 years later. He still sounded as good as ever He taught me so much and influenced so many. He was absolutely an original in every way. So talented, so gifted. And all who knew him are forever blessed. Heaven has a hellava new singing angel
