David Earl Marsh, 74, of Groves, passed away on December 23, 2021 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont, TX.
A visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. on Monday, December 27, 2021 at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Officiating will be Pastor Kevin “Kicker” McWilliams of Seventh Street Baptist Church in Nederland. Burial will follow at Oak Bluff Memorial Park in Port Neches.
Born in Port Arthur, TX on November 22, 1947 to Virgle and Lorraine Marsh. David was a life long resident of Groves. He was a member of Seventh Street Baptist Church in Nederland. He was retired from the Texas Correctional Institute where he served as the Metal Fabrication Plant Manager. David was a devoted father and husband. He loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. He enjoyed woodworking, long drives through the country, and eating ice cream while watching the ships pass by on the Neches River.
He was preceded in death by his father, Virgle Marsh Sr. and mother, Lorraine Marsh.
David is survived by his wife of over 52 years, Mynette Marsh of Groves, sons, Darron Marsh and wife, Tara of Groves, Dustin Marsh and wife, Mindy of Groves, grandchildren, Kortnie Breaux and husband, Hunter of Bridge City, Rylee Marsh of Mauriceville, Kelby and Keaton Marsh of Groves, Jaxton and Liam Marsh of Groves, great grandchildren, Koleton and Kamryn Breaux of Bridge City, brother, Virgle Marsh Jr. of Groves, sister, Linda Mahaney of Groves, brother, Richard Marsh and wife, Peggy of Georgetown, TX.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him and loved him.
