David Wesley McGill

David Wesley McGill, 69, of Groves, Texas passed away Sunday, December 27, 2020 at his residence. David was born October 5, 1951 in Maryville, Tennessee to the late James and Frances McGill. He served in the United States Navy. David was talented in carpentry and woodworking. He was a licensed electrician and enjoyed fishing and kayaking. David’s favorite past time was spending time with his sons and grandkids.

David is preceded in death by his parents, James Kenneth McGill and Frances Marie Whiteley McGill; son, James McGill; brothers, Steven McGill and James Richard McGill.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 18 years, Vicki Lynn McGill; sons, Jason McGill of Fayetteville, AR; J.W. Townsen of Atascadero, CA; daughter, Sarah McGill; grandchildren, Aiden McGill, Lily McGill, Hendrix McGill, Jimi McGill, Kyle Townsen, and Rayleigh Townsen; sister, Sheila Claude.

A memorial service for Mr. McGill will be held at the Pavillion at Port Neches Park in Port Neches on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at 10:00a.m. with full Military Honors. Services are under the direction of Melancon's Funeral Home in Nederland.

I can't tell if this is the David McGill I was in the Navy with from 1971-1975 on the USS Ranger and in Lemoore, California. If it is, I have a lot of memories to share. He lived many years in Kingston, Arkansas and then I lost track of him. If it is, hit me up on FB under Benyomin Wolfson

Our hearts are broken by the loss of this fine man. We will smile and hold our memories of him close to our hearts forever. Looking forward to the glorious reunion in heaven with him.
