David Wayne Seegers, 76, of Groves, passed away on Sunday, October 1, 2023, at The Medical Center of SETX in Port Arthur.

David was born in Many, Louisiana, on January 9, 1947, he was the son of Henry Owen Seegers and Rosa Belle Seegers. He was a Groves resident for over forty years. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing, hunting, and shooting. He will be dearly missed by all and forever be in our hearts.

He is preceded in death by his father, Henry Owen Seegers, his mother Rosa Belle Seegers, and two brothers, Jimmie Seegers and Lloyd Seegers.

He is survived by his wife Maria Gonzelez of Groves, TX; his son, Jeff Seegers and wife Jennifer of Hemphill, TX; three daughters, Melissa Hicks of Groves, TX; step-daughter, Julie Carlin and husband Nick of Lumberton, TX; step-daughter, Karina Shields and husband Roderick of Port Arthur, TX; seven grandchildren, and one great-grandchild; three brothers, Doug Seegers and wife of Many, LA; Ken Seegers and wife of Many, LA; Gerald Seegers and wife of Shreveport, TX; two sisters, Sue Koenig of Shreveport, TX; and Carolyn Moore and husband of Many, LA.
