David Rick Simon, 45, of Nederland, Texas died Monday, October 27, 2014 at The Medical Center of Southeast Texas in Port Arthur, Texas. David was born December 19, 1968 in Beaumont, Texas to Elzie David "Bud" Simon and Cynthia Marie Cogar Simon. He was a lifelong resident of this area and an IBEW #479 Electrician with Newtron. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 31, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Port Neches with Rev. Larry Delcambre officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens. Visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday, October 30, 2014 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. He was preceded in death by his father, Bud Simon. Surviving relatives include his wife, Linda Simon of Nederland, Texas; mother, Cindy Simon of Nederland, Texas; sons, David Simon of Nederland, Texas; Aaron Sheffield and Baisa Benoit of Nederland, Texas; brothers, Devin Simon and wife Michelle of Port Neches, Texas; Kevin Simon and wife Mandy of Nederland, Texas; grandchildren, Madelyn, Marilyn, and Maximus Sheffield.
