There is a kind heart and pure soul that is gone from this world and our lives. He never met a stranger. He loved to talk and tell stories. He would help anyone in need and give you the last dollar from his pocket. His friends will remember him as a “Davo”. He was a harmonica player and played with many of his friends as their bands gathered together. He loved hunting, fishing, and especially sailing. He had many great times with family and friends catamaraning at McFadden Beach & Miracle Beach. He later upgraded to a sailboat and became a member of the Port Arthur Yacht Club, and sailed Sabine Lake almost every weekend and vacations. He also loved Crystal Beach, he had many fond memories being there too. But most of all he loved his children and his family.
A private family service will be held at a later date. His wishes were that his ashes be placed at McFadden Beach, Miracle Beach, Bates Lawnmower Service & his two homes.
