Was sad to learn of David’s passing. I have many fond memories of growing up 2 houses down from where Dave, Lana, and the girls lived. I remember he always had a smile on his face. In a neighborhood with mostly boys I was so happy when they moved in with Allene and Terri. Later, after I was grown and married, we took our cars to him for repair. I know he will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Sending our sympathy to Lana and the girls. Ann Godkin Hutchison

Mrs Swenson, Allene, and Terrii, you might not remember me, but you were all a big part of my childhood. First oyster I ever ate was out of the back of Mr Swenson’s truck. It was disgusting. To this day when I eat oysters I think of him. I know that y’all will miss him, but in time you will remember all the good things and the sadness will fade. I remember all of you fondly. It’s a bridge to a simpler, kinder life that I’m thankful to have lived. Thank you all for being a part of it. Bryan Godkin

My dad and I fished offshore and hunted doves with " Super Dave " as we called him. I have many great memories of our numerous weekend warrior fishing adventures. He was always upbeat, positive, and always had a grin on his face. He loved the challenge of finding that next school of hungry Red Snapper. We will surely miss him. Bless him and his family.

David and I along with his wife Lana were dear friends. We fished the Gulf and dove hunted together every day we could. Along with fishing the Gulf we also did a lot of scuba diving. We went off shore where no one else would venture and always spent the night. We kept locale resturants well stocked with red snapper and had lots of fun doing it. He is deeply missed. Fish the heavens my friend till I get there. And may God bless you and your family. Butch Patin
