Dean Lambert, 80, of Nederland, Texas went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 23, 2021. Dean was born on April 9, 1941 in Silsbee, Texas to the late Rufus Chester Lambert and Mollie Pigg.
Dean proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. After being discharged from the service he worked his entire life as a cement mason and was proud in his profession. He enjoyed having coffee with his friends and taking daily trips to Wal-Mart. Anyone who knew Dean knows he was strong in his faith. Dean knew he would be going to Heaven, and would not want anyone to be sad that he was gone. Both Dean and his family would want everyone to have peace in this time, knowing that he is now at home with the Lord.
Dean was a loving husband to his wife of 60 years, Patsy Pixley Lambert and a proud and dedicated father.
Those left to cherish Dean’s memory include his loving wife of 60 years, Patsy Pixley Lambert of Nederland, Texas; his sons, Keith Rowe and his wife Michelle of Kennard, Texas, and Marty Lambert and his wife Sherry of Burkeville, Texas; his daughter, Angie Lambert-Babineaux and her husband Troy of Anacoco, Louisiana; his grandchildren, Josh Lambert of Leesville, Louisiana, Jessica Lambert-Law and her husband Jeremy of Elreno, Oklahoma, Brandon Babineaux and his wife Shelley of Nederland, Kayla Babineaux-Godwin and her husband P.J. of Leesville, Louisiana; and his great-grandchildren, Holley Babineaux, Allison Babineaux, Max Babineaux, Boyd Babineaux, Jesse Goodwin, Kenna Lambert, Ryah Lambert, Jacob Law and Jared Law. Dean is preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Tommy Lambert and S.L. Lambert; and his sister, Thelma Hawthorne.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Gordan and Katrina Lambert and Lynette and Sammie Atkinson for taking wonderful care of Mr. and Mrs. Lambert in their times of need.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland on Tuesday, April 27, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 a.m.
