Debora "Debbie" Yvonne Goodman Duncan

1957 ∼ 2021

Debora "Debbie" Yvonne Goodman Duncan, 64 years old of Groves, Texas passed away Tuesday, June 22, 2021 peacefully at her home.

She was born in Mobile, Alabama on June 6, 1957 to Massey B. Goodman and Mary Ann Walton Goodman.

Debora was a free spirit and the life of the party; always making everyone laugh. She was the middle child and all that entails! If you knew Debora, you knew that she loved doing for others. And because of her generous demeanor, we all knew that she never met a stranger. There was no one that enjoyed drinking a cold beer or a glass of wine and getting down on the dance floor more than Debbie.

She loved going to outdoor markets, antique shops, and working in her beautiful yard.

Debora lived her life the way she wanted to...........vibrantly and to the very fullest until the day she joined her "Mama and Daddy" in Heaven.

She loved her family, friends and her little dog, Cali "Cali Girl", with her whole heart.

We will miss her so much. We love you, Debora.

There will not be a funeral or memorial; however, Debora's wishes were: In lieu of flowers, please keep in touch with your parents, your family, your old friends, an older person, or a neighbor because they may need a friend to call them. Go by and visit or ask them out for coffee/drinks or for a meal. They may be lonely.

She would want you to celebrate her life in the way you wish to.

Debora is survived by two sisters, JoAnn Rutledge and husband Tom of Bastrop/Port Neches, Texas, Janis Goodman of Port Arthur, Texas, nephews, Nathan Rutledge and wife Ashleigh, their children, Nolan, Natalie and Addison of Houston, Texas and John Rutledge and wife Stephanie, their children, Ava and Colton of Lumberton, Texas, niece, Alora Mery and husband Stephen of Austin, Texas, also Eddie Sample (her very Best Friend/Caretaker) and Debora's dog Cali.

My Dear Friend , Debbie! This has been a very hard to process.. I am not sure where to begin.. The time we spent at the beach, her house or mine 2014 - 2020, are cherished memories. 2021 It chats over the phone or text messages.. Debbie was alway up for my great adventures! From raising chickens and building their coop... To changing the pulley and belt on my dryer.. She always joke and laugh, no matter how hard the task would get. Debbie lived life on her own terms.. She was genuine, in every aspect of life.. A refreshing trait that has became so rare, in our world, today. I can't express the gratitude and honor it has been for me to have Debbie in my life.. Debbie made it bright and there was never a dull moment. I pray that GOD brings Debbie's family and friends comfort.. Eddie, you were one amazing man and friend. Debbie was blessed to have you.. I pray that GOD Blesses you and brings you peace ☮️ Until we meet again ✝️🙏🏼❤️😘 The attached photo June 13 2020 - She was so happy that day. She said, "the sunglasses made her eyes see so bright"...
