Deborah Thompson Saide, 65, of Port Arthur, passed away Monday, June 13, 2016 at Magnolia Manor Nursing Home in Groves. Deborah was born August 15, 1950 in Port Arthur to the late Chester Thompson, and Myrtis Dyson Thompson and lived in the Port Arthur and Vidor area most of her life.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Friday, June 17, 2016 at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland with Brother John Fortenberry officiating. A private burial will be at a later date.
Deborah is survived by her mother, Myrtis Thompson of Woodville; her daughter, Rachel Strange and her husband Chad of Buna; her son Stacy Irwin and his wife Mandy of Nederland; her sister, Evelyn Hays and her husband Larry of Denham Springs, Louisiana; her brother, Bill Thompson and his wife Cindy of Colmesneil; her mother-in-law, Elizabeth Saide; her brothers-in-laws, Patrick Saide and his wife Kathy, Frank Saide and his wife Cindy, and David Saide and his wife Lauri; her grandchildren, Billy Carroll, Ben Steele, Alex Steele, Ian Irwin, Liam Irwin; great grandchildren, Brinley Steele and Brooklyn Faith Steele. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. Deborah was preceded in death by her husband Ronnie Saide, her father, Chester Thompson; her son, Randall Steele; her daughter, Colleen Irwin; brothers, Tommy and Gary Thompson;
