Deborah Ann Sattler, affectionately known as "Debbie," born on April 14, 1948, in Port Arthur, Texas, passed away peacefully on August 21 2024, in Beaumont, Texas. She graced this world for 76 years, leaving a legacy rich in love, community, and dedication to her family and passions.
Debbie was a devoted member of the Cajun French Music Association - Gulf Coast Cajun Chapter, where she served in several Board positions. Her commitment to promoting Cajun culture and music exemplified her spirited connection to the community. She was not only active in the arts but also cherished her education, having graduated from Stephen F. Austin. She was a dedicated member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.
Debbie was a cosmetologist for over 40 years. She loved serving people and making her clients "beautiful". Sadie, her pet mini dachshund, was her precious fur baby, whom she loved and who always enjoyed her company.
Among Debbie’s many talents, she was celebrated as an amazing cook, which brought joy to gatherings with family and friends. Her culinary prowess was exceeded only by her love for gardening, baking, crafting, and sewing, hobbies that showcased her creative spirit and attention to detail. She often found solace in the beauty of flowers and the warmth of homemade treats. Debbie loved her plants and flowers and often thought of the plants in her garden as an extension of herself.
Debbie's pride and joy were her family. She was a loving spouse to Shelley Sattler for 52 wonderful years. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, support, and unwavering love. Debbie was the proud mother of three children: Tony Sattler and his wife, Melissa, of Lumberton; Kim Anderson and her husband, Gary, of Port Neches; and Ginger Watts and her husband, Joey, of Nederland. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Makaela Sattler, Makenzie Coplen, Steven Anderson, Karen Wallace, Vincent Anderson, Jason Anderson, Taylor Watts, and Ashley Watts, as well as her great-grandchildren, Oaklynn, Jax, Collins, Chris, Michael, Hazel, Scarlett, Emma, Isabella, Tyler, and Audrey, who brought immense joy and fulfillment to her life.
Debbie was also a dear sister, whose bonds with her siblings, Christine Restivo of Highlands, and Vicki Morlan and her husband, John, of Seabrook, were cherished deeply.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Howard and Elsie Mae Brandin, and her brother, Laird Brandin, who remain forever in her heart and memories.
