Debbie Kay Hutchins

November 11, 1949 — April 3, 2025

Port Neches, Texas

Debra Kay Brau Hutchins, a loving and caring wife, mother, aunt, and friend, passed away on April 3rd, 2025, in Houston, TX. Born on November 11, 1949, to Harroll and Freda Brau, Debbie always enjoyed time with family and friends, laughing and loving life.

After graduating from PNG, remaining a lifelong Indian, Debbie obtained her cosmetology license and spent decades as a beautician, including working on family and friends' hair at her home while caring for her own family. She also enjoyed hosting as many people throughout the year including holidays where dozens of people enjoyed her wonderful cooking and warm hospitality.

She and her husband Randy also enjoyed traveling, whether to NYC or island hopping. They especially loved spending time at their beach cabin nearly every weekend after her retirement from Neches FCU. More than hair styles and parties at the beach, Debbie loved her children and grandchildren. While she always enjoyed any baby she could hold, her devotion was to her two sons. She spent her last year’s being near her grandchildren in Cypress, relishing in the time they spent together.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harroll and Freda Brau, her husband, Randy, and sister Donna Gail Berry. Also, by her foster brother Robbie Greig, uncles Clarence, Harvey, Mike, and Baby Brau, and aunts Ire Nell Van Davender, Maxine Burke, and Shirley Holland. Debbie’s love and laughter will be remembered by her son Aaron and his wife Jennifer, son Caleb and his fiancé' Ricky Adams, grandchildren Jacob and Addie, nephew David Berry and his wife Nikki, niece Shana Buchanan and her husband Ben, great nephews Hogan Berry and his fiancé' Michaela, Reagan Berry and wife Rachel, and Terrell Buchanan and great niece Jane Marie Buchanan, and great-great nephew Peter Berry, along with a long list of extended family and friends.
