Debra Jo Watts, 65, of Port Neches, Texas passed away on December 25, 2023, at Mid-Jeff extended care in Beaumont with her loving husband at her side. Debra was born on August 13, 1958, in Beaumont, Texas to Leonard and Peggy Womack. She was raised and grew up in Orangefield, Texas.
Debra was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Orange. She was a wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who took care of her family whom she loved dearly. Debra enjoyed gardening, photography, dancing, and listening to all varieties of music. She never met a stranger and loved helping people. Debra especially loved Mardi Gras; the parades, the balls and everything about it. She was a kind and caring person who loved everyone. Her family and friends loved her dearly, as well.
Survivors include her husband of fifteen years, Troy Hamilton Watts of Port Neches; children, Kimberly Hernandez and her wife Leti Hernandez of San Antonio, Erica Verret, Joshua Verret and his wife Lyndsay Verret, Brandon Verret and Parrish Blake Verret; 6 grandchildren, Kessa Venable, Aiden Adams, Dominiq Braulich, Olivia Verret, Emma Hernandez and Matthew Hernandez. Her sister, Sherry Croaker and husband Bryan Croaker of Bridge City, Texas; her brother, Randy Womack and wife Lanette Womack of Santa Fe, Texas. Debra was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Peggy Womack and her sister, Donna Carol Womack Carter.
A “Celebration of Life” Memorial Service will be conducted at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, January 6, 2024, at Liberty Baptist Church in Bridge City, Texas. Private family cremation services will be held at a later date. Arrangements were handled by Melancon-Levingston Funeral Home in Nederland, Texas.
