Delores Ann Monk, 74, of Nederland passed away August 13, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. She was born in Port Arthur on August 22, 1937 to the late Frank and Furley Cessac Romero.Funeral services will be held at Faith Tabernacle Church, 10169 s. Hwy. 69 in Port Arthur on Thursday, August 16, 2012 at 10:00 a.m., Rev. Randy Hammer officiating. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Magnolia Springs Cemetery in Magnolia Springs. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the church.Delores is survived by her husband, Henry Monk, Sr. of Nederland sons, Henry S. Monk, Jr. of Beauxart Gardens and David Randall Monk and wife, Linda of Bridge City daughter, Melanie Werner and husband, Shon of Bridge City 9 grandchildren 10 greatgrandchildren sisters Caroline Tompkins of Mauriceville and Gloria McGuirt and husband Larry of Alexandra, Louisiana brothers, Myon Romero and wife Elaine of Kountz, Tommy Romero and wife Linda of Groves, Preston Romero and wife Janice of Port Arthur, Frankie Romero and wife Sun of Groves, and Jerry Romero and wife Melisa of Nederland.
