Deloris A. Laird, 76, of Nederland, Texas passed away on June 9, 2018. She was born in Hineston, Louisiana on October 2, 1941 to the late, Sherman Kelly Hanley and Pearl Elsie Monroe Hanley. Deloris worked for the Nederland Independent School District as a Life Skills Instructor.
Deloris is survived by her son Clint Laird, and wife Lora, of Nederland, and Stephen Troy Laird of Houston; her granddaughter Kassandra Riley of Nederland; her great- grandchildren Landon, Brooklyn, Lucas Riley; her sisters Dorothy Bernard, and husband Mike, of Nederland, and Sharon Pujol, and husband David, of Nederland; and her brother Rev. Tim Hanley, and wife Karen, of Nederland. She is preceded in death by her parents; her brothers Kelly and Bobby Hanley; and the father of her children, Butch Laird.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at Melancon’s Funeral Home in Nederland on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with the graveside service to follow at 12:00p.m at Oak Bluff Memorial Park.
